WHAT IS ISRAEL IN SHORTS?

Israel in Shorts is a two part interactive film experience for Jewish teens and their families. Created by @akiva, the teen engagement branch of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland, Israel in Shorts gives teens, educators, and families from across the United States the opportunity to explore Israel + their Jewish identities through new lenses. Using 7 curated films, interactive activities, and playbill discussion guides, Israel in Shorts will give teens the chance to explore and relate to Israel in new ways.

In order to create a comprehensive virtual/hybrid experience Israel in Shorts will be broken into two parts:

In Part 1 (February 1 – March 2), educators and teens will have the chance to watch the films and participate in accompanying activities facilitated by the @akiva team.

In Part 2 (March 20-May 31), local educators will take the lead, and will be able to select their choice of film(s) and activities to screen to their own communities.
