Rockets might be a daily possibly but life goes on. Although Sderot is faced with the daily threats from the Gaza Strip, the people remain there, living as usual. Many of the town’s residents have lived there all or most of their lives. Hearing the siren with the words צבע אדם are no longer scary after fifteen years, but normal life. Luckily for them no rockets have threatened for the past six months, but even knowing that it won’t last forever, citizens of Sderot don’t live in fear. They could easily move to anywhere else in Israel but they don’t. They don’t move because of their ideology and because they are some of the most resilient people on earth. Often time Israelis will even move to Sderot and other cities that face the same threats because of family, which speaks to the fact that many Israelis could live in the best of places or the worst of places. Still, the only thing that matters to them is that they are with their family. Residents of Sderot have only fifteen seconds to get to the bomb shelters after they hear a warning siren, but they don’t care how short of time it is as long as they are with who they love.
