Day 11 (6.29.16): Prep for year 2 by Jonah Ross

A silent room waiting for Zeev Ben Shachar to begin speaking. Everyone is dead tired and sad that the trip ends tonight. Just like Zeev taught us previously no one is coming to change this. But one person has the power to make a tremendous difference, and that is exactly what happened. Just as the leadership lecture had begun, Amnon leaned against some blinds slipped and almost fell. The whole entire room burst out laughing and the mood immediately changed. Without even knowing Amnon proved to us that making a change could be as easy as being a klutz. After Zeev talked for a while we got together in groups to create our year two projects. For them we had to pick the what, where, when, why and who for the programs we will develop. Projects ranged from having a cultural workshop at school to a discussions about Israeli identities at a youth group event. Sometimes it takes a mistake to make everything go right.
